The search for a Springfield native in Sacramento, California has come to a sad end.
Greene County Judge Calvin Holden confirms in a Facebook post authorities have found the body of his son, Alex Holden.
The 25-year-old was last seen leaving his apartment early in the morning on December 31st.
A search by friends, family and strangers spanned nearly a month, and family members posted a $10,000 reward for information on Holden’s disappearance.
Police are telling the CBS affiliate in Sacramento there are no signs of foul play, but it will be up to the coroner to release the identity and cause of death.
