Scattered Showers And Storms Southeast Of Springfield Monday, Then Calmer Weather

Expect much calmer weather across the Ozarks this week, with a warm-up and little chance for rain after Monday.

The National Weather Service says showers and isolated storms will be possible Monday afternoon and evening, with the best chances east of Highway 65 and south of I-44.

Severe weather is not expected.

Sunday night’s storms brought officially 1.09 inches of rain to Springfield, measured at the National Weather Service Office near the airport.

We had numerous reports of hail from pea size all the way up to quarters as severe storms moved across parts of Lawrence and Greene Counties Sunday night, with several other communities getting small hail.

Highs will be up around 60 Tuesday and Wednesday with no rain in the forecast from Tuesday through the end of the week.
