Missouri Senator Roy Blunt won’t run for reelection in 2022.
Blunt was first elected to the Senate in 2010.
Blunt is 71.
He was widely expected to seek a third term in office.
Blunt is the Number 4 Republican in the Senate.
He’s the fifth Senate Republican to decide not to run for reelection next year.
Former Missouri Governor Eric Greitens expressed an interest earlier this week in running for Blunt’s seat – while at the same time slamming him for not doing enough to support President Trump.
