Fighting an increasing demand for welders in the workforce, OTC in Springfield is offering two sections of its 20-week industrial welding specialist course for the fall 2021 semester.
The course begins on August 2, ending on December 17.
Students who finish the program will earn a certificate of welding technology and 34 credit hours which students can use towards an associates degree in the same field.
The Missouri Economic Research and Information Center predicts there will be more than 12 hundred openings for welders every year between now and 2028.
