Springfield Police arrested a woman accused of assaulting another woman walking in the Rountree Neighborhood.
Police booked a 29-year-old Springfield woman into the Greene County Jail.
Investigators say the attack earlier this month was a case of mistaken identity.
KY3 reports the victim, a 30-year-old woman, said she was grabbed by the ponytail and shoved to the concrete.
The victim told police she did not know the attacker.
Security camera video captured the attack.
No charges have been filed at this time.
