New reports show that many drivers aren’t aware of Move Over Laws in the Show-Me-State.
The laws require drivers to change lanes when approaching Missouri Department of Transportation and law enforcement vehicles as well as ambulances and tow trucks.
If drivers can’t change lanes safely, they must slow down as they pass.
In Missouri, drivers who fail to give emergency crews space to safely do their work face a maximum penalty of one year in jail and a $2,000 fine.
