(KTTS News) — Crime is down 20 percent overall in Springfield.
Police Chief Paul Williams says property crime dropped 21-percent and crimes against society, which includes drug and weapons charges, dropped 19-percent.
Crimes against persons fell by five-percent.
Williams says hard work by police and a very extensive policing plan helped bring those numbers down.
