(KTTS News) — The Missouri Senate is going on break without taking a vote on a transgender-related bill.
The bill is sponsored by Ash Grove Republican Senator Mike Moon.
The Missouri News Network says Democrats in the Missouri Senate spent several hours this week filibustering the bill that would ban gender-affirming care for minors.
Democratic Senator Greg Razer is from Jackson County.
He’s part of the LGBTQ community.
He accused conservatives of using trans children for political points.
Republican Senator Denny Hoskins from Warrensburg says the bill is still a work in progress.
The Senate adjourned before Republicans could work out a deal with Democrats to pass it.
