(KTTS News) — A Preston, Missouri, firefighter is recovering after his fire truck rolled over while responding to a fire Saturday in Hickory County.
Jared Bennett was driving when another car came at the fire truck head-on on Highway D.
Bennett was able to avoid the car, but he was thrown from the fire truck, which was destroyed.
Another firefighter was treated and released at the hospital.
Bennett has broken ribs and a broken sternum, along with numerous other injuries.
Bennett is the fire chief’s son.
