(KTTS News) — McDonald’s held a groundbreaking Tuesday for a new state-of-the-art restaurant near Sunshine and West Bypass.

The Blumenstock family, which lives in the Ozarks, plans to bring a new vision to the location, located between Sports Clips and Central Bank across the street from Ross Dress for Less.

The new McDonald’s will be the first of its kind in the state of Missouri.

Everything will be digital from the menus, to the signage, and even the curbside pick-up locations.

The location will have a compact optimized prep line – a conveyor belt visually—that assists the crew to move orders faster as the owners plan to feed over a thousand customers a day.

And an upbeat interior design concept is also in the works.

This new location will be very easy for the digital consumer to enjoy their experience at McDonald’s. Plus, McDonald’s at Sunshine and West Bypass will have a compact optimized prep line – a conveyor belt visually—that assists the crew to move orders faster as Blumenstock plans to feed over a thousand customers a day. The new McDonald’s will be the first of its kind in the state of Missouri.

“Over 100 NEW employees will serve our customers at our beautiful, new McDonald’s restaurant. We are proud to not only create more jobs here, but we’re excited to see the large economic impact that this makes for the greater Springfield area community,” said Ryan Blumenstock, Local McDonald’s Owner-Operator.

The development of this location grows from a legacy rich with local history of McDonald’s being a family and friends business that many Ozarks area residents are familiar with. In 1959, the original McDonald’s in Springfield was the 135th location to open its doors for business in the nation. The late Joe Post and the late Tom Tucker founded the concept of McDonald’s local franchisee ownership in Springfield. The 135th US McDonald’s building has since been rebuilt and resides down the street on its original foundation landmark located at W. Sunshine and Campbell. The Larry Davidson family worked with the Tucker and Post empires and from there, Dan Blumenstock, father of Ryan Blumenstock and retired McDonald’s Owner/Operator began his long-time career serving delicious McDonald’s food and providing unwavering community support. Ryan Blumenstock, second generation McDonald’s Owner-Operator, now carries on the legacy of new opportunity, economic support impact and job growth to Springfield with his brand-new McDonald’s location coming to Sunshine and West Bypass this year. Blumenstock currently owns and operates McDonald’s locations in Springfield, Republic, Willard, Bolivar and Mount Vernon, Missouri.

“We love doing business in the Ozarks. It allows us to really partner with local businesspeople to enhance the look and experience of our new restaurant,” said Ryan Blumenstock, local McDonald’s Owner- Operator. “We also look forward to growing our support for our local Ronald McDonald’s House Charities with another location to Round Up for RMHC”.

Ryan Blumenstock and his organization have provided over $300,000 to our local Springfield RMHC houses and programs over the last 5 years.

Blumenstock hopes to hire new crew, managers and maintenance that will serve this new location and hopes to hire and train the team before the new location opens.
