(KTTS) – One person has been arrested after a stabbing incident in Joplin.
Police were called to the Northpark Apartments on Thursday morning.
When police arrived, they found an adult male suffering a stab wound to his thigh.
The victim was transported to an area hospital. He was last known to be in serious but stable condition.
Police say the victim had been stabbed by his fiancé following an argument.
Joplin Police arrested the suspect, Shawanda O.A. Clark, age 35 of Joplin, on charges of Domestic Assault in the 1st Degree and Armed Criminal Action.
She remains in custody at the Joplin City Jail.
The Joplin Police Department believes this was an isolated incident and there is no threat to the
general public.
