(KTTS News) — The new $52 billion state budget includes money for Springfield.

Governor Parson made $500,000 in cuts on Friday, but he left $8 million in the budget for the Jefferson Avenue Footbridge and $4 million for Hammons Field.

He vetoed spending $28 million on improvements for I-44 from Kansas Expressway to Highway 65 and another $34 million for LeCompte Road.

But Parson kept money in the budget to expand I-70 to six lanes.
