(KTTS News) – Have you noticed hazy skies across the Ozarks the last couple of days? You’re not alone.
Wildfires in Canada are causing air quality concerns across the country, including the Ozarks.
The smoke is creating a heavy haze and many towns in Cedar County experienced Air Quality Index values over 100, which is unhealthy for sensitive groups.
An AQI over 100 reaches the threshold of being unhealthy for sensitive groups, including people with heart and lung disease, older adults, children and teens.
The National Weather Service predicts that the smoke will clear out on Tuesday afternoon, providing some much-needed relief.
