(KTTS News) — A group of middle school students led by two high school seniors were found Wednesday morning after an hours-long search south of Echo Bluff State Park in Shannon County.
Thirteen 7th graders from John Burroughs School in St. Louis went on an outing in a wooded area with two high school seniors Tuesday night.
They were practicing orienteering — the use of a map and compass.
When they didn’t return to camp, school officials told authorities.
The students were found Wednesday just before dawn.
