(KTTS News) — A Missouri House committee heard testimony this week on a plan to expand access to charter schools, even though similar bills failed to pass last year.
The Missouri News Network reports three bills would allow access to charter schools in Boone, St. Charles and St. Louis counties.
Supporters say charter schools give parents more choices.
But opponents say lawmakers need to focus on improving existing schools.
