Republic and Greene County first responders, along with Community Blood Center of the Ozarks (CBCO), are partnering together for an inaugural Republic Boots, Badges & Bandages blood drive on Saturday, April 27.

Police officers, firefighters, and paramedics from Republic and Greene County are teaming up to recruit blood donors at this community event.

The blood drive will take place on Saturday, April 27 at the Republic Community Center located in the Gym, 711 E Miller Road.

Event hours are 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Those donating at this event will not only help local patients but can also show their support for local first responders. Each donor can cast their vote for one of the first responder organizations participating in the challenge and help them bring home the trophy. Participating agencies include:

  • Republic Police
  • Republic Fire
  • Greene Co. Sheriff
  • Highway Patrol
  • CoxHealth EMS
  • Cox Air Care
  • CoxHealth Trauma Services

All donors will receive a free Boots, Badges & Bandages Blood Drive T-shirt honoring first responders.

Donors will also receive an Ozarks Adventure Pass worth over $150 in vouchers redeemable for free admission offers at all partner attractions: Beyond the Lens! Branson, Discovery Center, The Scott Family Amazeum, and Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge.

For the blood drive, photo identification is required, and donors should eat well and drink plenty of fluids prior to giving blood.

Donors can schedule an appointment at https://www.cbco.org/donate-blood/ or by calling 417-227-5006.

CBCO is the sole supplier of blood, platelets, and plasma to patients at 45 area healthcare facilities.
