Springfield City Council will consider creating a special tax district at the site of a new $22-million dollar sports development.
The city agreed to make $2-million dollars in public improvements to help develop the Betty and Bobby Allison Sports Town project near the Springfield-Branson National Airport.
To get its money back, the community improvement district (CID) would charge a one-cent sales tax on activities at the 155-acre project.
