(KTTS News) — A man has been arrested in North Springfield after a lengthy standoff with Greene County deputies.
Cory Schafer, 38, was wanted on a federal escape warrant.
Deputies and the US Marshals Midwest Violent Task Force tried to arrest him Monday afternoon near Hovey and Grant, but he ran into a house and barricaded himself inside with several other people for several hours.
Authorities sent a K-9 and a robot into the house, along with tear gas.
Schafer was arrested.
Authorities also found several other people in the house with him.
