The Springfield Fire Department says a man has died after a house fire last month.

David Knight was injured when a house caught fire in the 1500-block of East Dale back on January 10.

Knight was 59.

We are sad to report that David Knight, 59, has succumbed to the injuries he sustained in a Jan. 10 house fire in the 1500 block of East Dale. This is the second fire fatality of 2020 in Springfield. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
